Adventure Coast Selects Semnox Solutions Cloud Platform to Support Park Relaunch

 

Southport, U.K. — Adventure Coast, a newly rebranded outdoor amusement park in Southport, has implemented a fully cloud-based, cashless management system from Semnox Solutions as part of a broader renovation initiative aimed at improving guest experience and operational efficiency.

The newly named Adventure Coast has undergone a series of updates across the property, with a focus on modernizing operations and enhancing the overall guest journey. The addition of a cloud-based system plays a key role in those efforts, helping streamline transactions and reduce operational friction.

After exploring alternative systems and monitoring Semnox’s continued growth across the U.K. market, Adventure Coast chose the Semnox cloud platform.

As part of our transformation into Adventure Coast, implementing their cloud-based Nexus platform and cashless system was a natural choice,” said Norman Wallis, owner of Adventure Coast. “The speed of deployment and system reliability have been impressive, and we’re excited about the opportunities it brings to enhance guest experience and unlock new revenue streams.”

Adventure Coast first implemented a Semnox read-write solution in 2015 before moving to another system. Its return reflects a renewed focus on scalable, proven technology as part of the park’s relaunch.

Semnox deployed its cloud-native platform, which operates without on-site servers or local network infrastructure. The installation includes four POS stations, 40 handheld terminals for ride validation, and integrated payment processing through Adyen. The system was implemented in under two weeks from the park’s decision to move forward.

The platform supports a fully cashless environment, helping speed up transactions and improve the overall guest experience. It also provides flexibility to expand into additional capabilities, including online ticketing, self-service kiosks, and integrated food, beverage, and retail operations.
